Inauguration of Toilet Block at Panvel constructed under Nirmal MMR Abhiyan, a project to construct toilet blocks in different areas as per the needs of the local slum dwellers, sponsored by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

The handing over ceremony was organised on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti on 2^nd October at Ganesh Mandir Hall, Panvel.  The inauguration of the toilet block has been done at the hands of Dr.Arun Ranade (Social Worker). Shri Prashant Thakur presided over the function.  The guests of honour were Shri Ramsheth Thakur (Ex-MP Raigad) & Dr. Kirit Somaiya (Ex-MP & President, YP).  Shri Subhash Bhujbal, Shri Anil Dongare & Shri C.K.Patil (MMRDA) were the chief guests.

The construction work is going on at 71 different sites of Mira-Bhayender, Vasai, Virar, Navghar-Manikpur, Kalyan-Dombivli, Ambernath, Badlapur, Pen, Panvel, Uran & Alibag. 

MOBILE GENERAL CHECK–UP CAMPS: Regular mobile camps continued daily 5 camps through three mobile vans at different areas of Mumbai suburbs.  2360 patients were performed complete check-up and given medicines The details are as under:

We request the citizen of all nearby areas to visit the centre and take benefits of all the medication / health related problems.

CENTRE FOR SLUM STUDIES : Certificates were distributed among 202 students of retail management this month on 22^nd Oct.

8 Lectures were arranged and delivered daily from 22^nd to 31^st October on the issue of Environment and Life style under ERM project.  Around 50-55 women were actively participated and benefited.

PALAVI  KENDRA : Ante-Natal Care (ANC) of the pregnant women mobilization in Four Administrative Wards of Greater Mumbai; 'M/East' ward, ‘E’ ward and ‘S’ ward were covered during the month.

Our Out Reach Workers visited families in their respective wards, interacted with them and guided them about the health related problems.  They were counselled, guided and given proper guidance on health related matters, HIV & PPTCT Centre, Prevention and Family Planning.

Community meetings were held for Mahila Mandals, Health Posts, Beauty Parlor, Small Industries, Vyayamshala etc. The participants have been informed about Palavi Kendra.  IEC material and booklets for awareness distributed among them.

Yuvak Pratishthan’s Samarpan Arogya Kendra:  In the month of October, the patients visited to the centre and benefited through Allopathic, Homeopathy treatment and for pathological tests are given as under:

All the patients were treated with proper medication & counseling about their health related problems.  Pathological tests were done at very concessional rates.

We would like to inform that the centre has started X-ray and Sonography facility at very concessional rates.  Patients are requested to visit the centre to avail this facility on nominal charges.

JEEVAN AASHA :  In the month of October, 94 patients visited our office and registered under Jeevan Aasha.  72 patients in all have received financial assistance this month from different Trusts for different ailments.  Others are under process.  Category of the patients / cases:

Besides, we have received more than 100 phone calls for enquiry / assistance during the month.

We are receiving regular appreciation and gratitude from the patients.

We express our heartiest gratitude to all the trusts / hospitals / doctors / social activists, for extending their support / help to the poor and needy patients for their surgery / treatment.
