There are hundreds of girls awaiting for somebody who can support them and give a bright future. You may be aware that girls residing in Orphanages do not get any support from Government or any such agencies, after she attains 18 years of age. To tackle this, Yuvak Pratishthan has come out with a unique scheme "BALIKA PALAK YOJANA".

In this yojana one time donation of Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 15,000 is given. This is a unique project through which we are mobilizing resources for orphan girls. The money will be kept as fixed deposit in the bank which will return Rs. 51,000/- when the girl attains maturity. This amount will be spent for her higher education, self-support and for her marriage. In the first phase we have decided to sponsor 101 girls of Shradhan, Mahila Ashram, Matunga and Vatsalya Trust, Kanjurmarg, Mumbai. We are in mid way now, having sponsored 51 girls.

Yuvak Pratishthan requests you to contribute Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 15,000/-, to sponsor one girl child, and give her your blessings and a bright future.

Objectives:Life & educational support to the orphan girls.

Area of operation: Mumbai

Methods/Strategy:

The girls were selected from the orphan houses like Shradhanand Mahila Ashram, Matunga, Vatsalya Trust, Kanjurmarg. The donations are mobilized through well- wishers and kept in bank accounts. It is utilized for the education and self support for the adopted girls.

Outcome: 51girls were adopted successfully.

Dronacharya Puraskar (From 1996 onwards)
This Puraskar is given to appreciate and acknowledge the sincere efforts made by the teachers.

Area of Operation: Mumbai.

Methods/Strategy:

Selection committee including senior teachers select one teacher from one school all over North East Mumbai. The teachers are felicitated by giving them a certificate and a gift in public functions.

Outcome: This year 146 teachers are selected for this award. In past 7 years, total 850 teachers have been honoured with these awards.

Support: Funds are mobilized by Yuvak Pratishthan.

Various musical programmes and competitions including Solo and Group dances, Antakshari vocal etc
Presentation of Mumbal Bhushan Awards to outstanding personalities from Socio-cultural fields.
Presentation of Mulund Bhushan Awards to ten prominent residents of Mulund who have influenced the social life of Mulund.
Prominent dignitaries such as Mulund Ratna Shri. Dattaji Tamhane, Ex-public works Minister Shri. Nitin Gadkari etc. also graced the occasion by their presence.
