Valmiki Ambedkar Aawas Yojana (VAMBAY)
(From June 2003 Onwards)
Introduction:
It is a national level housing scheme of
the Ministry of Urban Employment & Poverty Alleviation. Government of
India jointly with State Government for the benefit of the Slum
dwellers. Yuvak Pratishthan is the co-ordinating agency.
Objective:

To
provide shelter or upgrade the existing shelter for people living
below poverty line in urban slums. VAMBAY is a Centrally Sponsored
Scheme shared on a 50:50 basis. |

Constructed 876 houses & handed them over to the householder. |
